Job Description

Filterra®, a division of Americast, Inc., is currently seeking a Water Resource Engineer to join our team in our Ashland, Virginia corporate headquarters.  This position is open to all whom are passionate about water quality engineering and low impact development alternatives.  The position supports our corporate sales and operations office by delivering technical assistance, product design support, plan and specification review, providing quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and comprehensive design reports for proposed installations of Filterra products.

The successful candidate should have a proven track record working with federal, state and local agencies as well as a solid history of developing and delivering successful hydrologic and hydraulic solutions. Working knowledge of watershed management, master planning and development of best management practice (BMP) programs a must.
The successful candidate will be well versed in current stormwater regulations for the various sales regions and should be comfortable acting as a liaison between engineers, architects, developers, contractors, and regulators.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Basic Qualifications:
• BS or MS in Civil or related engineering field
• P.E. certification
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Microstation. Geopak experience a plus. 
• Ability to prepare and review standard engineering drawings and documents
• Hydraulic modeling experience and ability to review plan submissions
• Experience in supervising multi-disciplinary production teams
• Word processing, spreadsheet and database skills

Education, Certifications and/or Other Requirements

• BS or MS in Civil or related engineering field
